Corn Paneer Samosa That Tastes Heavenly
Samosa is such a food item that cannot be resisted by anyone, especially when you eat one. But these days, people have gone way far from the traditional potato stuffing. In fact, different types of samosas are famous region- wise. So, here is the lip-smacking corn paneer samosa recipe.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups maida (all-purpose flour)
- 200 grams mashed paneer
- 1 cup boiled corn
- 1/2 teaspoon chat masala
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- Salt as required
- 1 tablespoon ginger-green chilly paste
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves
- 2 tablespoon ghee
- Oil to fry
Making of corn paneer samosa:
1. Take a bowl and add maida, ghee, water and salt. Mix all the ingredients and knead into a soft dough. Add more water if needed. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and keep it aside.
2. Take a wide pan and heat oil in it on a medium flame. Add corn, salt and red chilli powder, one the oil gets heated. Then add mashed paneer, chat masala, ginger-chilli paste and mix all the ingredients well. Let it stay on heat for more 1-2 minutes and at the end garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves. Switch off the gas.
3. Take the dough and cut into small balls. Take one ball and roll it into a roti. Cut the roti in two halves. Now take the first half and apply water to the edges. Fold the edges inwards creating a cone shape.
4. Fill the stuffing in the cone and again apply some water on the edge of the cone and seal the edges. This will form a triangle shape. In the same way, prepare the remaining samosas.
5. Heat oil in a kadai on a low flame. Once the oil is heated, place the samosas in the oil and deep-fry them. Fry them until golden colour. Make sure you fry the samosas on both the sides.
6. Place the fried samosas in a plate and serve them hot with ketchup or any spicy chutney.
